Human Chain Against Drug Abuse Marks 'Anti-Drugs' Campaign
A human chain against drug abuse was organized on March 28, 2025, to mark the 'Anti-Drugs' campaign in Malappuram. The campaign, a collaborative effort between the Legal Service Authority, Manjeri, and other Panchayath authorities, aimed to create a public defense against substance abuse. The NSS volunteers of 008 & 171 NSS Units, KAHM Unity Women's College, Manjeri, participated in the program with great enthusiasm and spirit, joining students, teachers, Kudumbashree workers, and members of the general public.
The participants took a pledge against drugs, promising to abstain from substance abuse and promote a drug-free lifestyle. The event also featured the symbolic burning of drugs, emphasizing the community's rejection of drug abuse. The human chain successfully brought together individuals from diverse backgrounds, fostering a sense of unity and solidarity against drug abuse. The campaign promotes awareness and community engagement, inspiring a collective effort to combat substance abuse and create a safer, healthier community.
